Q1What kind of company is Intelligent Requirements?

A Colorado research practice based in Monument, run by David Mitchell. We apply a systems-analyst's discipline to information requests: define the scope, verify that a source actually exists, set acceptance criteria for the answer, and check what comes back against those criteria before it reaches you. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice.

Q2What do you actually deliver?

Documents: a scope statement, a source register, identifier sets, acceptance criteria, coverage notes, gap logs, citation formats and verification records. Which of these an engagement produces depends on its scope; everything delivered is dated and traceable to the checks behind it.

Q3How does an engagement begin?

With a conversation, usually by email or telephone. You describe the question and what you already know; we turn it into a one-page scope statement covering the question, the boundaries of the search, the identifiers to use and the period covered. Work starts only once that page is agreed.

Q4What if the information does not exist?

The feasibility review exists for exactly that case. You receive an honest read in writing: obtainable, partially obtainable, or not held anywhere public. Where the answer is no, we list what was checked, so the question can be closed instead of revisited.

Q5Do you work outside Colorado?

Yes. The practice is based in Monument, Colorado, and takes remote engagements across the United States. Source verification and delivery specification depend on published indexes and written agreements rather than proximity, so the method travels.

Q6Who is this service for?

Analysts, compliance teams, grant and due-diligence researchers, and anyone who has received an answer that did not match the question. If a previous request came back incomplete, vague or uncited, the method here is designed for that situation.

Q7Why do you set acceptance criteria in advance?

So completeness becomes a measurement instead of an opinion. When the criteria are agreed before the search, the quality check can state which items satisfy them and which do not, and the gap log records the difference. It also makes repeat engagements comparable with earlier ones.

Q8How does the site handle my data?

The contact form builds a message in your own email program; nothing is submitted to a third-party service. The map on the contact page loads only when you press its button. One strictly necessary record of your cookie choice is kept on your device, and analytics or advertising cookies are only set if you enable them. The detail is in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

Q9When can I reach you?

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Mountain Time, on +1 (310) 555-0198 or by email. Enquiries sent outside those hours are answered the next working day.

Still unanswered?

Send the question as it stands. A vague question is a legitimate starting point; turning it into a precise one is the first service.
